Get Some Photographs Taken! Ask around, find a good photographer, and don't pay too much for his services. You may also want to hire a makeup artist for these pictures if you have the money. After you get the pictures back, choose about 5 or 6 and take them to top agency offices in your area. Don't overdress or get too spiffied up when visiting them. You're there to show them what kind of pictures you can take. If one of them is willing to take you on, don't stop there, go to them all.

Use those best pictures of you to your advantage. There are several online portfolio building services available. They can get your image online for all to see. Take on safe modeling jobs. If someone lets you know about low paying modeling jobs that you can do, such as catalogue ads or other print work, consider it. These small jobs can help fill your professional portfolio that you will be showing to people.

Getting told no!
Getting told "No" is something that can really dissuade you from your ambitions and dreams. The trick is being able to figure out if you can change and if you need to. If you can't, don't worry about it. The Modeling Industry is not for everyone. Don't get mad or go below yourself to spite the people who are really nothing to you. If they have shut you out and said that you don't have what it takes then they have ended their usefulness to you. Go your separate way and forget about them. If you think they're wrong then go to another agency and see what they have say. Try to always be optimistic. If you truly believe that you can make it then never give up. You will only be young and beautiful on the outside for so short a time of your life. If you allow them to turn you away you will not have a second chance ten or twenty years down the road. Take reasonable risks, get noticed, and never give up on your dreams.
